Bad Sewage Causes Flash Floods, Not Heavy Rains

Filed under: Thoughts — Yatz @ 11:11 pm

Recently, heavy downpour is on the run, almost everyday..Be it in the morning, afternoon, evening, or midnight..

Well, heavy rain is actually a gift from above..It cleanse the polluted air, especially this smoggy hazy season..

However, a good deed lead to something disastrous..Flash floods, or perhaps big ones..

In my housing area, a real heavy downpour will caused flash floods every where in less than 30 minutes..

All these thanks to the bad sewage system..I’m not sure whether the drains or sewers around are not big enough or they got stucked due to rubbish clogged up..

I guess both of it plays a little role in the cause of flash floods here..

First of all, we have irrationale and inconsiderate people who litter around the city..

With all the heavy rains and all, the rubbish on the streets got carried away by the flow of the water into the tiny miny drain-hole..

As a result, all drain-holes clogged up..That’s a pretty good job from the society..

I guess there’s not much to condemn about..It’s the Malaysian identity that we have..

Where there’s a “Dilarang Membuang Sampah Di Sini..Denda RM1000”..That’s the place where rubbish got piled up..Ironic huh..Welcome to Malaysia..

A housing area like mine isn’t anything to condemn at all actually..

Worst of all, even highways and steep roads too, involved in these flood thingies..

How would steep roads have flash floods.?? I just can’t get it..

Steep roads are, err, steep..Water flowing downwards..It’s understandable if the bottom of the steep roads got flooded..

But in the middle of a steep road.?? Someone please kill me..It isn’t logic at all..

The government or any municipal councils spent gazillions of ringgits to beautify the city and all, but what’s the point.?

Yeah, we have stupid palm trees, nicely-cut ‘bushes’, nice long-stretched five-foot ways, etc etc etc..

Those are merely short-term beauty and satisfaction..All of those palm trees and ‘bushes’ will eventually worn out sooner or later..

They don’t kinda care to take care of the flood issues..

Areas such as USJ, Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Masjid Jamek, etc etc, are hotspots of flood attacks..

They just happen and happen and happen again and again and again and again..

The residents are tired of it..The street walkers are tired of it..LRT passengers are tired of it..Even I who don’t have any connection with any of those, too, tired of it..

Even the vehicles are tired of it..They just stop right in the middle of the flood spot and don’t want to go out of it due to tiredness..Wtf *laughs*

They just have to wait for the ‘Thing’ to come, then evacuate the residents to some kinda community hall or something..

Then wait for food supply and everyday needs..Then all the houses will be ruined with the water up til knee level..

All items soaked in the muddy-sandy-water..Waiting for the water to run dry, in let say, at least 1 week.?

Just like what happens to crimes and accidents..After some tragic incidents occurred, only the ‘garmen‘ will take action..Bravo bravo bertabur bertabur~~

But I guess if without all these things, they can’t splurge out some money to ‘help‘ the people in need huh..

Anyway..That’s all for my thoughts and all..No puns intended..Improvements on this matter is extremely appreciated..

  1. With havin so much content and articles do you
ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation?
My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up
all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help reduce content
from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.
