Kin Kin Pan Mee @ Jalan Tunku Adbul Rahman-Dang Wangi Area, KL

Filed under: Eats — Yatz @ 2:06 am

PAN MEE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!!! *raise hands up in the air and profusely shaking crotch*

Well, I had been doing numerous Pan Mee entries before this, and now it’s Kin Kin Pan Mee time..

Been reviewed by lots of bloggers already..I don’t really know how to go by car..

If you are from Pekeliling Roundabout (the General Hospital, Tawakal Hospital, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa that one) heading to Sogo-Pertama Complex, it’s somehwere on the way..

Of course, it’s way before Sogo, it’s even before Maju Junction..So it’s before the Maju Junction traffic light, behind the shoplots on the left side..

Shit..My direction is so messed up..I only know how to go if I’m walking over from Heritage Row..Hahaha..I know it isn’t funny at all *head down and pats on back*

So umm, what-evaaaa~..Let’s proceed to pics and my review..

*And the boss, Boss itself*

8 of us had this chilli pan mee..And so, the pan mee is here..

*With Mata Kerbau as topping*

Okay, these pics I actually haven’t added the chilli in..So I scooped 3 spoons of chilli and mixed it around equally..

Then it looked so yummy that I didn’t snap a pic of the after-mix, I just helped myself on the pan mee ferociously *buurp*..

It definitely tasted different from the usual pan mee..And the thing is if you can’t stand spicy and hot, you’ll not feel the tastiness of this pan mee..

It’s the chilli that goes well with the mee..Although the egg looks kinda odd in the serving, it’s not that bad after all..

And umm, the portion is quite small and it serve with 1 standard size only..No big no small..

The price, I think it’s somewhere around RM4-RM5..Yeah, a bit expensive for a small portion of pan mee, but it’s worth to try la coz damn nice..

This pan mee is a must try if you can handle spicy and hot food..

Bao Bao Pan Mee @ Pandan Indah

Filed under: Eats — Yatz @ 5:38 pm

FOOD REVIEW FUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!!! *raise hands up in the air and profusely shaking crotch*

It has been a while since my last food review and my last update..

So here I’m doing a Pan Mee food review, yet again..

It’s the increasingly famous Bao Bao Pan Mee at Jalan Perubatan 2, Pandan Indah, the shoplot on the opposite road of Steven’s Corner..

Business hour is from 10.30am to 9pm on Monday to Friday, and 9am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday..Closed on Wednesdays..

It has another branch outlet at Puchong..Not sure where’s the location..

Anyway, let’s walk the walk and talk the talk..

*The front shop that facing Steven’s Corner*

*The side of the shop*

*Inside of the shop*

Usually, you’ll see lots of people standing beside of the shop waiting for seats..

That’s the only problem if you want to eat here..

But right after you are seated, you Pan Mee will be served in about 5-minutes..That’s quite fast..

*Dried Pan Mee*

*4 different kind of chillies*

That’s the soup and dry version of the Pan Mee..The portion is quite small for me..Yea, considering I’m a big-eater..

The contents are a bit different from the usual Pan Mee..The usual mushroom, black fungus and fried anchovies are not included..

The thing they have are few slices of fish cake and some chicken meat..

Four different kind of chillies for you to choose to go along with your Pan Mee..

*5 Flowers Tea – 5 Fah Cha*

This is their creation of leong sui, 5 Flower Tea (5 Fah Cha)..Based on the name itself, it’s a mixture of 5 different flowers that are used in tea..

Namely Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, and others which I don’t really care..

*The pork balls*

As usual, you can side-order some stuffs..So I ordered extra pork balls..

The pork balls are a tad hard..I suppose this is due to the lack of boiling time before they serve..

And also, the soup they served with the pork balls, is just plain bland water, which they boiled together with the pork balls..

Taste wise, both the soup and dry type is not bad..I would recommend this place if you wouldn’t mind about the price and the unbouncy pork balls..

The price is not THAT expensive but portion wise, I don’t think they go along well..

One more thing, this Bao Bao Pan Mee do it cafe-style..Meaning.? They charged you with service tax..

Overall, it’s not bad and worth to try..On the contrary, I would still prefer Taman Miharja’s Pan Mee..

Although this Bao Bao Pan Mee taste almost the same as the Taman Miharja’s, but with the pros and cons, I prefer Miharja’s..

The pork balls are to die for..I had seen a customer ordered 30 extra pork balls just for himself and his wife, together with 2 bowls of Pan Mee..

What say you.? I would say Miharja Pan Mee the best I’ve tried..

Yau Char Kwai @ Jalan Alor, KL

Filed under: Eats — Yatz @ 6:40 pm

This stall selling Yau Char Kwai is definitely one of the best in town, if not the best..

This elder couple is one of my ex-classmate’s parents..We called them the Tew (Tiu) family..

Although their family name is quite fucked up (pun intended), nonetheless they made quite a fortune with this stall..

The business is so good that you’ll get fresh hot Yau Char Kwai, Kap Chung, Ma Kiok, Ham Chin Peng, and Ngau Lay Sou..

Another specialty about their product is that even after few hours or even up to 12 hours past, the after-fried dough is still crispy as it’s just fried from the wok..

Okay, maybe not until that extent, but it’s still crispy..That’s the best part..

*The stall at Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang*

A single piece costs RM0.70..Three pieces would cost RM2..A 10cent discount..

Their business hour is Monday to Friday, from 3pm-9pm..

DO TAKE NOTE, better be there before 8.30pm..Their thing is selling fast everyday..

Usually will be closed before 9pm..The business is THAT good..

You know the KFC opposite of BB Plaza.? This stall is at the head of Jalan Alor, which is the inner opposite of KFC..

My Dad’s Birthday @ Zhui Mao, Peel Road, KL

Filed under: Eats — Yatz @ 3:43 am

Yesterday, 15th of September was my dad’s birthday..

So I treated him to a normal dinner at famous Zhui Mao (Drunken Cat) at Peel Road, Kuala Lumpur..

There are 2 Zhui Mao where one is old and another one is old..

It’s said that Zhui Mao is a family business and some of the siblings or chef got into some arguments or against each other’s idea..

Thus, there is 2 Zhui Mao..Ironically, both of the shops are just side by side..

And so I was at this Old Zhui Mao, with white fluorescent signboard..Been eating there since my secondary times..

Another Zhui Mao is with a black signboard..This New Zhui Mao is situated opposite of Queen’s Park, same row as Shell station..

The Old Zhui Mao is just next to it..I haven’t tried the New one before..You might want to try it..

So we ordered some of our favourites, and some recommended dishes..

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*Wok Chai Sotong Ha – Little Wok Sotong and Prawn*

This Zhui Mao is famous for its little wok dishes..This is one of their signature dishes, as recommended..

*Oily Vegie whatsoever*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*Ka Li San Chu Yuk – Curry Wild Boar*

This dish was a mistake..I ordered for the Wok Chai Kali San Chu Yuk – Little Wok Curry Wild Boar but they gave me this normal plate..

This Curry Wild Boar is highly recommended by me, Yatz..The meat is superbly tender..

Plus the curry is just right..You’ll hardly find another restaurant that serves such tender wild boar meat..

*Ying Yong Sek Pan (Two of a kind Grouper)*

This Ying Yong Sek Pan is something..The meat was removed from the bones..

One side of the meat was cooked with Lai Yau (fried santan milk whatsoever) and another side with sweet and sour gravy..

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*One side is Lai Yau (fried santan milk whatsoever you called it) and another side is sweet sour*

The fish meat itself tasted quite bland, it’s one hell creative dish though..

Dip with some chilli sauce and it’ll be fine..I don’t really recommend this dish though..

I would recommend Lai Yau Sotong (Santan Milk Fried Sotong whatsoever you name it)..

Altogether the meal costs about RM110, for 5 pax..

The fish itself already RM45 and the taste is quite bland..That’s why I said I wouldn’t recommend that fish..Better go for Lai Yau Sotong..

Anyhow, it was a fine meal..

Sun Ming Duck Rice @ Taman Connaught, KL

Filed under: Eats — Yatz @ 5:24 am

FOOD REVIEW FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!!! *raise hands up in the air and profusely shaking crotch*

Alright..I guess all of you guys had enough of babes, babes, and nothing but babes..

We’ll take a lil’ rest and go to food instead..It’s the ever famous Sun Ming Duck Rice at Taman Connaught..

The location is damn easy..You know Domino Connaught.? It’s on the same row of shoplots..

You don’t know where’s Domino Connaught.?? It’s on the opposite of the Taman Connaught pasar malam..

This Sun Ming is famous for its roasted duck and also char siew..They are the BOMB..

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*Restoran Sun Ming – Few lots away from Domino*

You just can’t imagine how famous and delicious their roasted duck is..

You know the stall where these people usually hang their readied-to-sell roasted ducks or chickens.?

For Sun Ming, there is a space for about 10 fresh roasted ducks to be hanged on the stall..

For less than an hour, or perhaps between 30-45 minutes, the next batch of 10 fresh hot roasted ducks would be brought out using a trolley..

So, count it yourself, how many ducks they could sell in just 1 day of business, i guess from morning 8-9am til 3-4pm..

It’s massive~!! I guess 100 ducks per day, not a problem at all..

*The duck and char siew*

*Finger licking good char siew*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*Nice~~*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*Siu Yuk also not bad*

For a normal 1 pax duck rice, it costs around RM4.50 if I’m not mistaken..

I usually order Duck with Char Siew and additional rice..That costs me RM6 if not mistaken..

So any additional Char Siew or Siu Yuk is another additional RM1..

For any Char Siew lover, you have got to order Char Siew only, with half fat meat texture..

The skill of roasting it til the coal-burn texture, the meat and skin is oh-so crispy..

You’ll hardly find another that serves Char Siew with the almost perfect skill..

Deral’s Birthday @ Italiannies The Curve

Filed under: Eats, Family & Friends — Yatz @ 2:38 pm

The previous Saturday, 14th of July, we went to Italiannies, at The Curve to celebrate Deral’s birthday..

So it’s nothing much..It’s more like an old friend reunion dinner rather than birthday celebration..

Anyhow, we’ll talk about the food instead of the celebration..Hahaha..

I’m not too sure about the names of the dishes..

I just look up the Italiannies website and write down the name where the description is almost similar to the one we ordered..

*Not quite sure what’s this dish..Some kinda fried sotong*

*That’s 6 dishes for 7 people*

The Pepperoni Pizza, or any Pizza I would say, is a must try..The cheese is totally awesome..

Don’t believe me.?? See this..

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

*The cheese~~*

Look at the cheese..You definitely can’t snap-off the cheese just like what you normally do in Pizza Hut..

The cheese is so think that you’ll feel like you are chewing gum..

No bad comments..All that we ordered were so damn nice, and stomach-filling..

You might not try it all at once, but I have stress on the Seafood Cioppino, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Pepperoni Pizza..

They are the BOMB~!! Totally MUST TRY~!!!

I just can’t get enough of that night’s meal..It’s so satisfying and fulfilling..Buuurp~!!
